Nestled within the natural landscape of Søndre Hallangen in Frogn municipality, this holiday residence is carefully conceived to respond sensitively to its surroundings. The architecture draws on regional building traditions while expressing a restrained and contemporary clarity.

The design emphasizes enduring architectural qualities such as the pitched roof form, masonry elements, and natural timber construction. These materials and forms are composed to create a warm and robust structure that sits naturally within the coastal landscape.

The project consists of a new primary volume constructed upon the existing stone foundation, preserving the footprint and continuity of the site’s built history. Complementing the main cabin, a separate annex provides additional accommodation and functional flexibility, forming a small ensemble of buildings that together create a cohesive and place-sensitive retreat.
